I thought I liked this app until a friend showed me Noisli.

False Advertisement! Does not cancel noise but rather increases annoying sounds. I want a refund

I love this app, and use it most every day. Most often, I use the "Build Your Own Mix" feature, with Babbling Brook as a base, then layer human chatter depending upon whos sitting around me at Starbucks, the office, etc. One small suggestion: remember my custom mix when I return to the app the next time.

This app makes the annoying noises that it advertises it blocks. Better to invest in a quality pair of noise cancelling headphones.

There was some trouble transferring this app to my new phone, and I use and rely on this so much at work in "cube land" that I was willing to buy it again. (It didnt end up charging me again after all...yay!) At any rate, I love switching between the nature sounds and completely zone out what is going on around me; its very effective. In college, I needed pristine quiet to study well, and this is the next best thing. When I was researching, I found an apt description that often comes to mind - it doesnt drown out whats going on around you, but makes it unintelligible enough that you can completely ignore it. Music with words is simply too distracting for me, so this is just great. I highly recommend it!!! (I never use the male/female voice chatter options...creepy and claustrophobic feelings ensue.). For an especially loud conference call leader in the next cube...adding the bleating goats worked very well at obscuring his voice - this has just fantastic options!

This app is worse than the chatter it claims to block. Ive requested a refund from Apple. I dont mind spending money on good apps. Id rather have my money than this app.
